The Mayor and Board of Commissioners for the Town of Blowing Rock met in special session on Monday, December 23, 2002 at 8:00 a.m. Council members present were Mayor J. B. Lawrence, Commissioners Barbara Ball, Terry Lentz, Keith Tester, Rita Wiseman, and David Wray. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss departmental matters.

Council members agreed by consensus that the following actions are taken:

1. There are no salary adjustments without prior approval of the Town Council. This is to include merit raises, certification increases, bonuses, and promotional increases.
2. As of January 15, 2003, the Town will no longer pay for cellular phones for any department or employee.

There was no further business, and Mayor Lawrence adjourned the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
