What are the requirements for posting house numbers?

Address numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inch. These numbers should contrast with their background and shall be placed in a position to be plainly legible and visible from the steet or road fronting the property. Post your numbers so they are large enough to be seen easily from the road. If the building is not clearly visible from the road, post numbers closer to the road near the driveway entrance. Be sure house numbers can be seen at night.

What are the responsibilities of the Rescue Squad?

The Blowing Rock Rescue Squad responds to rescue and medical emergencies. The department is an EMT intermediate level service. Emergency transport to nearby hospitals is provided. Watauga Medic is a EMT paramedic level service and is the primary emergency transport provider for the Town.
