About UsBLOWING ROCK RESCUE SQUAD, INC.147 PARK AVENUE, BLOWING ROCK, NC 28605 Level: EMT-I Phone: 828-295-5218 Organized in 1974, Blowing Rock Rescue Squad serves an area of approximately 52 square miles. Geographically, the Town of Blowing Rock, the southeastern part of Watauga County and the North Caldwell Fire District are the primary response areas of Blowing Rock Rescue Squad. However, will respond in all parts of the county. Staffing is provided by twenty-two (22) volunteers. Four (4) of the members are paid by the Town of Blowing Rock to man the station 24 hours a day. Blowing Rock Rescue operates a quick response vehicle (QRV) that is also manned 24 hours a day. Services provided by this agency include: first responder, quick response vehicles, emergency ambulance transport, advanced life support, high angle rescue, vehicle extrication, search, and water rescue. Blowing Rock Rescue Squad operates out of a four (4) bay station. The facility was constructed in 1978 and is owned by the Town of Blowing Rock. Squad members provide maintenance on the building. Vehicles include Two (2) ambulance, one (1) quick response vehicle and one (1) rescue vehicle that are based at this facility located at 147 Park Avenue. |
