Fire Safety for All of Us

To protect lives and property from fire and explosion hazards the Town of Blowing Rock has adopted and enforces the NC Fire Prevention Code. The provisions of the NC Fire Prevention code applies to all existing as well as new buildings, structures, and premises in Blowing Rock city limits, except for one and two family dwellings. The purpose of this code is to establish the minimum requirements consistent with nationally recognized good practice for providing a reasonable level of life safety and property protection.

Prior to obtaining a Blowing Rock Business License a fire inspection and code compliance is required.

Inspection Schedule

An inspection schedule has been set for the purpose of identifying activities and conditions in buildings, structures, and premises that pose dangers of fire, explosion, or related hazards.
