Curbside Recycling

The Town of Blowing Rock's residential curbside recycling program began in August 2010, with GDS providing the service at a charge of $6.00 which will be included on your bi-monthly service bill ($3.00 monthly). Please note cardboard will not be picked up by GDS, however, in order to recycle this item, please use the Watauga County convenience center. The Town of Blowing Rock has a permanent year-round population of approximately 1,425 and is situated along US Highways 321 and 221, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Blowing Rock, known as "the Crown of the Blue Ridge", is a very special place to live, work, and play. We are the only full service community on the Blue Ridge Parkway and are centrally located to many High Country attractions.
