New! Blowing Rock Parks and Recreation is partnering with the High Country Area Agency on Aging to bring you Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention! Tai Chi for Arthritis is a low-impact physical activity program that includes gentle movements suitable for perople of all ages, mobility, ability and fitness level with any form of arthritis. Tai Chi for Arthritis is also proven to help reduce the prevelence of falls amoung older adults. We will be offering an 8 session series on Mondays from 9-10am at the Blowing Rock Parks and Recreation Rec Center begining October 13th. The fee for this series is $60. This series will be taught by Nicole Hiegl, certified Tai Chi for Arthritis Instructor.
